10 More Huge Actors You Didn’t Notice As Extras In Movies
3. John Krasinski - State And Main
There is a lot that John Krasinski has done throughout his career, both on screen and off. With Jack Ryan, he has been an action star; with A Quiet Place, he has written, directed, and acted in the world of horror; and he has dipped a toe in children's fantasy with IF.
Of course, before any of that came his role as Jim Halpert in The Office. To this day, this is what he is best known for, and a big part of that was perfecting his trademark stare down the camera lens.
Five years before debuting opposite Steve Carell in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Krasinski had the exact opposite job. As an extra, he was to take a place on screen and essentially draw no eyes and no attention, which he did in 2000's State and Main.
Loaded with talent at the time, the David Mamet picture can now boast one of America's most beloved sitcom stars, as Krasinski appeared as an uncredited judge's assistant. He can be seen slipping past Philip Seymour Hoffman getting off a train, and again speaking to the judge for just a microsecond before disappearing again entirely.
