10 More Movies Actors Want You To Forget
Oh no, Jake.
Hollywood is such a volatile and unpredictable industry that actors often have to take whatever work they can get, especially earlier in their careers where any job is a welcome one.
As such there are virtually no A-listers out there without at least a few embarrassing skeletons in their closet, be they awkward and humiliating early paycheck roles or even more recent films they'd just prefer everyone forgot.
No matter these actors' storied accomplishments, there's no erasing these horrendous star vehicles they'd love you to forget about...
10. Don's Plum - Leonardo DiCaprio
Filmed between 1995 and 1996, Don's Plum is a low-fi black-and-white drama starring a pre-Titanic Leonardo DiCaprio alongside Tobey Maguire and Kevin Connolly as three L.A. teens who meet up at a diner to whine about their privileged yet miserable lives.
It's also not legally available anywhere in North America per a lawsuit filed by DiCaprio and Maguire, who were so embarrassed by the project that they sued to ensure it could only be screened internationally.
But of course, the movie is freely available on YouTube and quite the fascinating viewing experience indeed. Riddled with unbearably obnoxious dialogue from all involved and a faux-hip indie film aesthetic, Don's Plum is a deeply ill-advised yet never-boring curio.
Even as recently as 2016 DiCaprio and Maguire have been fighting to keep the film out of audience's hands, filing a copyright claim against producer Dale Wheatley after he posted a free streaming copy of the film on his website.
The YouTube bootleg has remained untouched for three years, thankfully, and given the misogynistic nature of DiCaprio's improvised character - speculated to be semi-biographical at the time - it's easy to see why he wanted it wiped from the face of the Earth.
