10. Distant

Originally shot during the pandemic, Distant has had a hell of a time trying to find its way to the cinema, with several push-backs and a final release date in 2024. All the more time to build a bit of hype.

Josh Gordon and Will Speck's space-set adventure follows Andy Ramirez (Anthony Ramos), an asteroid miner (queue the Aerosmith!) who gets stuck on an alien planet and has to fight his AI suit and the new environment to try and get home.

This isn't totally new territory for Ramos, who was one of the more palatable elements of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, but it is nonetheless set to provide a unique challenge for the singer-cum-actor who is more at home in musicals than space. And he's not the only one - given Gordon and Speck's last film was Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile, Distant should be a nice change of pace for all involved.
