10 Most Brutal Star Wars Movie Deaths
2. The Corridor Of Rebel Soldiers (Rogue One)
Cause Of Death: Force choked, stabbed with lightsaber
Well... that was pretty harrowing to watch, right? It felt like a scene ripped right from a horror movie; Vader was a monstrous, relentless threat, and the fear was palpable.
The very end of Rogue One leads directly into Episode IV: A New Hope, as we see the plans for the Death Star fall into Princess Leia's possession - but not before they've narrowly evaded a p*ssed off Darth Vader's clutches.
As a group of Rebel soldiers - who've just received the transmitted plans from Jyn Erso down on Scarif - move through their ship to take the plans to Leia, they find their pathway blocked. Trapped at one end of a corridor with the angry Sith Lord at the other, they're all swiftly dispatched one by one, as their cries of terror ring helplessly against the cold walls of what will soon be their metallic tomb.
This is as close to an adult rating that Star Wars has ever come; the frightened screams of the Rebel soldiers, beating on the door trying to find a way to escape as their inevitable slaughter inched closer, was terrifying viewing, in the best way possible.
It was a joy to behold for fans who've waited decades for a dark, less cartoony - but more importantly - accurate representation of what it must be like to face Vader, but for the Rebels in question, it was probably the most distressing day of their lives. At least it was their last.
