Unpopular, asthmatic, and overweight, Darren Mullet commits suicide. His funeral is populated by those that had no idea who he was - and more importantly, simply didn't care. Bullied by the 'cool crowd' relentlessly and fuelled by anger, Mullet doesn't stay dead however, coming back to wreak havoc on those that wronged him whilst he was alive and proving that even those who were seemingly innocent have their secrets to hide.

Tormented knows exactly what it is. It's funny, full of ridiculous gory deaths, and doesn't shy away from the fact that its marketed towards the nighttime teen crowd simply after sex and violence. Whilst it feels somewhat like a product of its time, it's still a fun watch, and unfairly forgotten about when it comes to ultimately self-aware horrors.
