10 Most Disappointing MCU Moments

10. T'Challa Vs. Killmonger - Black Panther

Though most MCU fans will agree that Black Panther is one of the franchise's strongest outings to date, it falls shockingly short when it comes to the final battle between T'Challa (Chadwick Boseman) and Erik Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan).

The two men don their respective Black Panther suits to battle to the death in Wakanda's vibranium mine, and the result is by far the most video game-y final fight in the history of the MCU.

Though both Boseman and Jordan performed the sequence in motion capture suits, it's glaringly obvious that much of the fight has been retouched with iffy CGI animation, giving it a weightless, consequence-free feel throughout.

It doesn't help that the basic visual fidelity of the effects in this scene are embarrassingly low compared to the rest of the movie, nor that the vibranium mine is a location both dull to look at and obviously artificial.

Director Ryan Coogler has spoken extensively about how tight the deadlines were to complete the movie on time, so it's probably fair to assume that time constraints led to the end result looking so ropey.

Thankfully the end of the fight swung back to brilliance, at least, as Killmonger received arguably the most memorable - and certainly the most impactful - death scene of any MCU villain. The actual battle itself, though, was a far cry from the movie's other, better-crafted action sequences.
