10 Most Frustratingly Obvious Star Wars Missed Opportunities
3. Not Fulfilling The Knights Of Ren's Potential
Upon first being glimpsed in The Force Awakens' promotional material alongside the formidable Kylo Ren, it's not hard to see why fans of all ages were a little excited about the prospect of a group of jet-black badasses by the name of The Knights of Ren.
However, outside of throwaway name drops, the odd flashback sequence, and acting as Kylo's silent backing dancers for much of their still all-too-brief showing in Rise of Skywalker, the Sequels failed to really deliver anything of note when it came to interesting developments involving the crew of mysterious antagonists.
Barely even touching upon how Ren became the focal point of this fierce contingent of Dark Side Force-users, their eventual fate - being cut to pieces by a redeemed Ben Solo - felt like little more than a way to shoehorn yet another already-squandered element of this once-potential-filled set of films in before the saga rode off into the sunset.
And while the group have been fleshed out a little more on the page lately, the fact they never really got their moment in the two suns is still a tough pill to swallow for those who fist pumped at their awesome initial reveal all those years ago.
