10. Jane Foster

Before Taika Waititi and Thor: Ragnarok shook the MCU to its very core, the Thor franchise was the weakest of the bunch. Kenneth Branagh's outing wasn't offensive, but it wasn't mind-blowing, and The Dark World is still the consensus pick as the worst of all 23 movies.

There were many aspects to why these movies underwhelmed, one of which was Natalie Portman's Jane Foster. The astrophysicist simply failed to click with audiences thanks to very little character development, and two scripts that left a lot to be desired for the Oscar winning actress.

Even Portman herself reportedly complained of her character being boring, and offering little more to the movies than being a love interest for Thor. She was simply a damsel in distress that needed saving, which was even more infuriating considering her background in the comics.

It came as something of a shock when the Black Swan actress was confirmed to be returning for Thor: Love and Thunder, but with the character set to lift Mjolnir, and under the guidance of the magical Taika Waititi, Jane at least has a chance to change the minds of MCU fans everywhere.
