10 Most Hated Star Wars Characters

10. Boss Nass

As enticing as a Star Wars character voiced by Brian Blessed might be on paper, it's a shame the legendary thesp's booming vocals were wasted on the gelatinous leader of the Gungans, Boss Nass.

Only more tolerable than Jar Jar Binks (Ahmed Best) due to his sensibly limited screen time, Nass is nevertheless a grating character most every second he's in the movie.

Due to his offputting design - he doesn't even look like the other Gungans! - and penchant for inane chit-chat, even Blessed's spirited performance can't bring Nass to life, at least not in an appealing way.

Star Wars fans may well be prejudiced against Gungans, but with better writing Nass could've been an interesting kingpin-type character.

Instead he's a dull figurehead whose mere physical presence is an eyesore, while most everything that comes out of his mouth is nonsensical if not skating on the fringes of racial stereotyping.
