2. The Iron Giant (The Iron Giant)

If you're an awesome person, I needn't explain what the Iron Giant is about. And you clearly are awesome, since you're reading WhatCulture. Editor's Note: Stop buttering these people up. Get on with the article! Right, sorry! The Iron Giant tells the heartwarming story of a.... um, Iron Giant. He's sent from an alien planet to Earth, but after an accident he has no memory, and befriends a young boy instead. Editor's Note: If they want a synopsis, they can look on IMDb! Are you trying to get out of doing research? Sorry! The film was lavished with praise, particularly for the message it sent. See, many robots in film (including some of the ones on this list) are violent or are capable of violence, but in this film, the Iron Giant is used to teach a message. Specifically, guns kill. It also expresses the idea that you can be whom you choose to be, not just what you're designed to be. Editor's Note: Quit making up fake editor's notes! These people are going to know this isn't actually us!
