10 Most Messed Up Deaths In The Star Wars: Sequel Trilogy

10. General Hux Is Brutally Terminated - Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise Of Skywalker

Getting the messed up ends of some of the more villainous personalities within the sequel trilogy out of the way early, the murder of General Hux during Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker likely didn't lead to anyone shedding a tear.

This was an often ruthless and irritating bloke who'd helped the First Order kill millions of people (we'll get there). He was also someone who was willing to turn his back on his own people to take down his rival Kylo Ren.

But despite all that, it must be said that the way he was ultimately dispatched was still undeniably brutal.

Not long after helping Finn, Poe, and Chewbacca escape (by killing the First Order's own stormtroopers!) and telling them that he was the spy who'd been feeding information to the Resistance, the man who wanted Ren "to lose" above all else met up with Allegiant General Enric Pryde.

Here, Hux attempts to fool Pryde into thinking he was overpowered by the gang, but the latter saw through his wounded leg - given to him by Finn to make the lie seem more believable.

In the blink of an eye, Pryde coldly and savagely blasts a hole through the traitor.

Even though Hux definitely had it coming and wasn't exactly the nicest of human beings, watching him be so viciously taken out before he even knew what hit him was still a pretty disturbing moment.
