10 Most Paused MonsterVerse Moments

10. The First Appearance Of Godzilla

Even if you don’t rate the 2014 Godzilla movie, it cannot be disputed that it had one of the best trailers and marketing campaigns in recent memory. What made it so successful was that Godzilla was never fully shown, with promos and posters for the film only giving fans fleeting shots of the kaiju.

This meant that when Godzilla was finally unveiled, it was incredibly satisfying for cinemagoers and as a result the first image of his head became one of the most paused moments of the movie. The full scene itself, with Godzilla and the male MUTO squaring off at the airport, just after laying waste to Hawaii, is one of the best in the MonsterVerse, so it's no wonder fans have revisited it so much.

Since the subsequent films in the franchise revelled in the sight of Godzilla, this moment has become a little redundant in recent times, as there are so many more images of him now. But prior to the release of King Of The Monsters, this remained the best, and most widely used, shot of the Titan.
