10 Most Rewatchable Movies Of The '90s
10. Groundhog Day (1993)
It's debatable whether Groundhog Day is Bill Murray's greatest movie, but it's certainly one of his most rewatchable.
Only an actor of his rare talent could pull off a concept this bizarre - a cynical man with a permanent hangdog expression is caught up in a timeloop for no apparent reason.
The results vary from hilarious to dark as Murray's Phil Connors uses his plight for his own selfish gains before repeatedly attempting suicide in a futile attempt to escape.
But by the end of the film, we are reminded how much difference a day can make if you seize it, and that's a take-home lesson that rings true every time.
Plus these immortal words from the great Mr Connors are never unfunny, no matter how many times you hear them...
"I was in the Virgin Islands once. I met a girl. We ate lobster and drank pina coladas. At sunset we made love like sea otters. That was a pretty good day. Why couldn’t I get that day over and over and over?"
