4. Obliterated By Basketball - Deadly Friend

If you haven't already watched the video for this one, there's not a whole lot to be said. It's exactly what it sounds like.

Deadly Friend is one of Wes Craven's earlier movies but it came after classics like The Hills Have Eyes, A Nightmare on Elm Street, and The Last House on the Left, and alongside those it stands out as a real dull dud. Long and ridiculous story short, a smart teen puts a microchip in a girl and she gets robot-like powers.

Which leads us to this incredible scene...

Robot-girl meets the crotchety old neighbour, Elvira, and the two begin to fight. Elvira is thrown against a wall and the girl obliterates her head by tossing a basketball at it. The way in which the woman's head explodes upon impact is likely to make your jaw drop.

And what makes the scene truly laugh-out-loud is the way in which the old woman's body shuffles around the room headless before collapsing.

This is a bat-$hit scene that you will be compelled to watch more than once.
