8. Emil Bursts Like A Overripe Melon Robocop (1987)
In a film rife with overlong, wince-inducing death scenes including the protagonists own, when copy Alex Murphy is literally shot to pieces by the bad guys loudmouthed henchman Emil Antonowsky gets the short straw. Trying to run Robocop down, Emil crashes his van into a vat of toxic waste, tumbling out of the back doors in a flood of acidic liquid, which then begins to melt him from the outside in. Were then witness to the most horrible high-pitched whine in movie history, followed by poor Emil wandering around the steel mill like an extra from a Halloween pageant, moaning and blubbering as his flesh sloughs off in gobbets. After freaking viewers out for two scenes longer than strictly necessary, Emil finally gets put out of his and our misery when his boss Boddicker accidentally runs him down. In fact, thats not strictly accurate: Emil bursts into almost nothing but gelatinous red ooze when the car hits him, having almost completely liquefied by this point and only being held together by inertia and hope.
