10 Most Ridiculous Movie Death Scenes

8. Emil Bursts Like A Overripe Melon €“ Robocop (1987)

In a film rife with overlong, wince-inducing death scenes €“ including the protagonist€™s own, when copy Alex Murphy is literally shot to pieces by the bad guys €“ loudmouthed henchman Emil Antonowsky gets the short straw. Trying to run Robocop down, Emil crashes his van into a vat of toxic waste, tumbling out of the back doors in a flood of acidic liquid, which then begins to melt him from the outside in. We€™re then witness to the most horrible high-pitched whine in movie history, followed by poor Emil wandering around the steel mill like an extra from a Halloween pageant, moaning and blubbering as his flesh sloughs off in gobbets. After freaking viewers out for two scenes longer than strictly necessary, Emil finally gets put out of his €“ and our €“ misery when his boss Boddicker accidentally runs him down. In fact, that€™s not strictly accurate: Emil bursts into almost nothing but gelatinous red ooze when the car hits him, having almost completely liquefied by this point and only being held together by inertia and hope.
