At least this one had the decency to be sort of tongue-in-cheek. Where fellow superhero hit X-Men: Days Of Future Past didn't really try to integrate Pepsi's product placement naturally into the movie, it makes a sort of sense that in the process of running from the government in Captain America: The Winter Solider, the hero winds up in an Apple store. Whilst there Scarlett Johansson's show-stealing spy Black Widow uses a shiny new Mac to figure out their next move, with Chris Evans's Captain America pretending at being her clueless partner helping her to look for a new computer. Comedian DC Pierson is brilliant as an Apple employee impressed at Cap's muscle mass. A specimen indeed. But still, narrative sense or no, it's a scene that takes place entirely within an Apple store. They could just as easily gone to an internet cafe, or used a computer in the local library, which would be less conspicuous - but then there wouldn't be five minutes of Apple logos and products on screen.
