10 Most Romantic Horror Movies Ever

Bloody lovely.

Whenever Valentine's Day is upon us, we brace ourselves for the usual deluge of old-fashioned romantic imagery and idealism to be shoved lovingly in our faces whether we like it or not. Restaurants, florists, perfumeries, chocolatiers, and lingerie retailers brace themselves for the inevitable onslaught of custom for the biggest date night of the year. And yet, take a quick peek at your local cinema listings and the presence of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies among the new releases serves to underline that romance isn€™t always as clean-cut and traditional as all that. Sugar and sentiment might have their place, but few things promote intimacy among couples quite so effectively as some good old-fashioned dread, compelling lovers to desperately clasp hands and yearn for the security of one another€™s embrace/bed/back seat or whichever applies. With that in mind, here's a list of highly romantic movies designed for those who like their romance a little on the darker side. And we're not talking about that dreamy, non-threatening 'paranormal romance' stuff here (you know the films we mean, let's not mention them by name). We're talking films that won't just touch your heart, but will most likely break through your rib cage, tear it still beating from your chest and devour it before your eyes. You know, the way love is in real life most of the time.
