10 Most WTF Movie Scenes Of 2025
The 2025 movie scenes you won't ever forget, for better or worse.
2025 has been another great year for cinema, but more importantly it's also been a banner year for filmmakers letting their freak flag fly loudly and proudly.
A well-crafted drama is one thing, but what about a movie that shows us something totally unhinged we've never seen before?
There's a fine line between inspired cinematic insanity and doing something unmotivated for pure shock value, as this list will surely be a testament to.
For better or worse, these 10 movie scenes are the ones from the past year which, above all else, had us wondering quite what the filmmakers involved were smoking when they cooked them up.
Some were unexpectedly hilarious, others were aggressively weird to the point it wasn't clear what tone they were going for, and some were just so baffling from a creative standpoint it's impossible to relate to what the filmmakers were trying to do.
Some of these scenes were widely embraced, others were firmly rejected, and many fall into the divisive middle ground, where for every supporter of the wild swing, there's someone who absolutely loathes it...
10. The Snowman - The Naked Gun
Let's kick things off with what's quite possibly the single funniest scene of the entire year.
In the surprisingly great reboot of The Naked Gun, there's an especially deranged sequence where Frank (Liam Neeson) and Beth (Pamela Anderson) spend a romantic weekend away in a remote cottage, the montage set to Starship's anthemic "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now."
Among other things, the loved-up duo build a snowman, and things take a bizarre turn when they use an incantation book to bring said snowman to life, after which they have a threesome with it.
However, Frank and Beth eventually reject the snowman once they've had their fun, prompting him to turn murderously evil, squeezing Frank's inhaler empty and then chasing the pair around with a pistol.
Just when it seems like the snowman has Frank dead to rights, Beth appears and decapitates it with a samurai sword, the snowman's remains then tumbling into a jacuzzi and melting while Frank and Beth embrace.
The montage ends and the rest of the movie keeps going like nothing even remotely weird happened. Classic.
