10. Judi Dench - Artemis Fowl

Judi Dench is a mighty pillar of the film industry and one of the most reliable actors to ever grace the screen with their presence.

And though some might argue that the Oscar-winning Dench delivered the worst performance of her career with her Razzie-nominated turn in last year's Cats, you can at least tell she was trying to make that misguided mess of a movie work. It failed, but not for her or anyone else's lack of trying.

The same can't really be said for Artemis Fowl, which was dumped on Disney+ this past summer and, to the surprise of few, received a brutal drubbing from critics.

The consensus was that not a single member of the film's distinguished cast could elevate the material, with many noting that even the usually committed Dench couldn't bring herself to put much effort in.

As Commander Julius Root, Dench basically mumbles her way through her role with a ridiculously gruff Batman voice that's impossible to take seriously.

It's a miscalculation on Dench's part which in addition to rendering her performance laughable makes it difficult to concentrate on what she's actually saying.

Hopefully she at least got handsomely compensated for her time, because this was depressing to watch.
