Every new casting announcement for Agents of SHIELD's second season makes the show even more exciting, and the latest new character to be revealed is no different: Crusher Creel, aka The Absorbing Man, will be played by Brian Patrick Wade. Wade will be joining new characters and guest stars Adrianne Palicki (Bobbi Morse/Mockingbird), Lucy Lawless (Agent Isabelle Hartley), Reed Diamond (Daniel Whitehall), Nick Blood (Lance "The Kraken" Hunter), Henry Simmons (Alphonso "Mack" Mackenzie), and Kyle MacLachlan (Skye's father), and shows a marked improvement in the calibre of villains ABC has managed to wrangle from Marvel this season. Absorbing Man may not be a household name, but he's a powerful and well-established foe who's managed to hold his own against Spider-Man and even Hulk in the comics. With that kind of power and the fascinating visual aspect to his abilities, Creel's certain to be a compelling addition to the world of AoS.
