Despite our best intentions, and our awesome albeit tiny army, its inevitable that someone will get wounded, maybe even sick. Every one of our members is precious, and losing one is not an option. Every band of survivors needs a healer, but we need something better. Sure, Dr Schultz is a dentist and President Marshall probably still has a trick or two in hand from his days in the field, but who knows what harm might be lurking in this Brave New World? We need someone special, and E.T. is the obvious choice. True, in E.T the Extra-Terrestrial, E.T. only actually applied his glowing finger to a plant, but I'm confident that his super powers will translate into human healing. The only problem is that he will obviously need frequent sabbaticals, as apparently on Earth he dies. Selfishly. If only there were some way to build a communicator so he would know when he was needed
