10 Movie Franchises That Got Better With Each Film

Note that Bad Grandpa isn't included on this list because it deviates substantially from the formula of the first three films and is simply a "Jackass Presents" movie rather than a Jackass movie in its own right. 2002's Jackass: The Movie was a feature-length expansion of the show's simple-yet-satisfying formula, upping the budget and delivering a number of outrageously memorable skits, such as Bam Margera's tireless efforts to get his mother April to say the F-word. 2006's Jackass: Number Two somehow plumbed even grosser depths, convincing Dave England to eat horse dung for $200, and Chris Pontius one-ups him by drinking a load of horse semen. Getting through the latter scene without gagging is a challenge indeed. Then came 2010's Jackass 3D, which took the next logical step in employing the use of high-frame rate, 3D cameras to capture the stomach-churning mayhem in super-slow motion and an additional dimension. It then all culminates in the glorious sight of Steve-O sitting in a port-a-potty as it's hurled into the air and he's covered in excrement. A fourth Jackass movie is reportedly in the works and set to be filmed in Australia. Perhaps Smell-o-Vision is the true way forward now?
