6. Sexy Beast
If you know Ray Winstone to be an oak-tough, sun-tanned cinematic bad lad, there's a good chance it's because of his wonderful starring role in Sexy Beast, opposite the frankly terrifying Sir Ben Kingsley. And if you loved his performance as retired thief Gal Dove, you're in for a treat thanks to the announcement of a new 10-part prequel show.
Produced by Paramount Television and Anonymous Content, the sequel will be set in London and will follow Gal as he cuts his teeth in the criminal underworld and coems to be closely intertwined with gangster Don Love who was played so memorably by Kingsley previously.
It's coming courtesy of The Sopranos writer Michael Caleo and given the fascination with period gangland shows (thanks, Peaky Blinders) it might just be amazing. Provided they hire the right talent, of course.
