Before The Lord of the Rings trilogy, director Peter Jackson rose to substantial fame with this gory and bloody cult classic. Braindead (also known as Dead/Alive) is Jackson at his most frenzied and demented. The movie features a rabid Sumatran rat-monkey, a pack of zombies, and of course a kung fu priest. Stuart Devenie plays Father Jon McGruder and with the greatest quote ever "I kick ass for the Lord" he forever cemented his status as one of the most kick ass religious characters of all time. If you want to see a Priest battle a bunch of zombies, then this is the movie for you. After some divine intervention McGruder springs into action and proceeds to beat the crap out of a bunch of zombies. He employs some rapid and impressive kung-fu moves that would impress Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan and the entire cast of The Raid. He utilises spin kicks, promptly taking off a zombies head and slamming another zombie into a grave headstone. With all that said, we'd want to officially elect Father Jon McGruder for the new Pope. Hell, it would certainly make Conclave very interesting.
