10 Movie Sequels That Will NEVER Be Made
10. Back To The Future Part IV
In 1985, one teenager's accidental trip back in time changed cinema forever.
The exploits of Marty McFly, Doc Brown, and good old Einstein the dog enthralled cinemagoers and gave Robert Zemeckis the freedom to basically do whatever he wanted with the next two films.
Back to the Future Part II took audiences into the far-flung future year of 2015 (spooky) and Part III took them back to the Wild West, complete with a flying train. Though there's been a TV show and even a stage musical adaptation since then, there's been no return to the big screen for Hill Valley's finest.
And, if Zemeckis has his way, that's how it will stay.
The director has said in interviews that there will "never" be a fourth Back to the Future movie, even though several of the cast have expressed interest in returning to the story in recent years.
"We've all seen sometimes where they make one too many sequels and you say, 'Maybe they shouldn't have done that,'" said Zemeckis. "I'm not going to name any names of movies, but you know what they are!"
He's clearly talking about Pirates of the Caribbean.
