It's A Sequel To... Dumb and Dumber (1994) Alright, this one is kind of cheating, 'cause it's still probably a few months away from being officially green-lit and I'm definitely getting slightly ahead of myself, but Dumb and Dumber 2 is going to become a movie next year. That's going on the fact that Jim Carrey announced very, very recently that he was "ready" to get serious about the project. And that, coupled with the fact that Jeff Daniels probably isn't doing anything else right now (c'mon, what is there for Jeff Daniels to do?), means that this thing is the closet it's ever been to actually getting made. The rumoured story is said to take place twenty years after the first one, with the friends setting up to find one of their lost sons in hope of getting a kidney. Sort of mean-spirited, huh? The original flick, which starred Carrey and Daniels are two dim-witted friends on an ill-conceived road trip, is considered something of a '90s comedy classic. Well, at least I think it is, though - not being an uber-fan of any sort - I couldn't possibly comment on whether or not a sequel is genuinely warranted. I suppose it might be fun. Then again, we all thought another Star Wars movie was a good idea, didn't we? And look how sad that made you. Yeah. You okay, champ? Do We Want It? Alright. If you must.
