Post-credits scenes in blockbuster movies are one thing, but now film trailers are also trying to keep you viewing as long as possible in order to hoover up that sweet, sweet YouTube ad money.

As such, most significant tentpole trailers will save a final gag for after the movie's title has appeared on the screen, often a throwaway comedy gag or an enticing tease to really get fans talking.

It just feels like such a stale, unimaginative and cynical way to keep viewers glued to the screen, and most of the time these gags aren't even worth sticking around for.

Examples: Justice League was desperate to prove it was fun so added in an extra superhero quip, Venom assaulted viewers with its infamous "turd in the wind" gag, and Aquaman needlessly tacked-on that awful joke about redheads (complete with a painfully bad comedy reaction shot from a goat).
