5. The Misfits Movie May Be On Indefinite Hold

Antonia Thomas, who played Alisha Daniels in the first three series of TV series Misfits has stated that the long-rumoured movie may now be canned entirely. According to the Radio Times, cast availability issues are what caused the film to be shelved, but Antonia stated to Digital Spy that:

There was all sorts of talk about it. We read scripts and I think it's now not happening.

I haven't heard anything. I think it's just difficult to get everybody together. Everybody is doing such different things. Maybe they think everybody has moved on, I don't know. You never say never but I have not heard anything of it of late.

It was a really cool script, kind of getting the old gang back together, it could have been a lot of fun.

It looks as if the film - based upon the TV series of the same name that sees youth offenders gain superpowers after a freak storm - will never see the light of day. Whether or not the potential film would have been as successful as The Inbetweeners Movie (another series first aired on E4), we'll likely never know. We'll just have to make do with re-watching the excellent TV series for now.
