10 Movies Missing From Warner Bros.' DCEU Slate (And Why)

10. Nightwing

In February 2017, it was revealed that The LEGO Batman Movie director Chris McKay had signed on to direct a live-action Nightwing movie from a screenplay by Bill Dubuque. The filmmaker spent months teasing the project on social media, but as time went on, it started looking like Warner Bros. was in no rush to make this one happen.

Well, we finally got an update last year thanks to Forbes, and it doesn't bode well for this project's future. Because Matt Reeves is now in charge of The Batman franchise, Nightwing has been put on hold due to the director reportedly having his own plans for Dick Grayson.

Bear in mind that The Batman is set to be standalone in nature, so this former Robin having his own adventures in the DCEU's Gotham City after parting ways with the Caped Crusader really wouldn't make sense. Had Ben Affleck remained in the role, Nightwing likely would have become a reality (especially as his Batman had been fighting crime for decades).

As it stands, Nightwing isn't going anywhere fast, and his movie is on indefinite hold.
