10 Movies You Most Regret Not Seeing At The Cinema

6. Sin City (2005)

Robert Rodriguez's artistic, ambitious adaptation of Frank Miller's comic book series gets a place on this list by virtue of its one-of-a-kind stylistic choices. Put simply, no other film ever made looks like Sin City. The handsome monochrome cinematography is punctuated by brilliantly controlled flashes of colour, creating the feel of a graphic novel on the big screen. As the sequel Sin City: A Dame to Kill For heads into cinemas, it's the ideal time to look back at the original film and wish that you had taken the opportunity to see it during its initial cinema run. The film made a reasonable $160m during its time in multiplexes, but became a real cult classic on DVD and Blu-ray. Whether the sequel is any good or not, Sin City is sure to be remembered as a franchise for daring to be different in terms of its visuals: visuals that deserve to be seen in the cinema.
