How It Was Spoiled

If you hadn't seen the 2007 Spanish original, [REC], before watching this remake, you were likely left infuriated that pretty much every single poster, trailer and ancillary piece of marketing for the film featured the closing shot of Jennifer Carpenter screaming as she's dragged away.

So blatantly was the ending spoiled that many fans of the original assumed the U.S. remake was going to tack on an extended finale.

But as it turned out, distributor Screen Gems just freely ruined the protagonist's for no reason. Terrible.
