Some people have said that after the gaping plot hole that was Men in Black III, it was time to pass the baton. And few movie franchises can allow such a seamless transition as this one, where the enormous story only compliments the larger-than-life characters that play inside it. There are so many directions you could go with a MIB spin-off, including the one of having two female partners. There's lots of playing room and there's plenty of up-and-coming actors who could fill the shoes for Mr. Smith and Mr. Jones. Some names I'd like to see? Katrina Bowden, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Andrew Lincoln, Robert Pattinson...and let's not forget just how great Neil Patrick Harris fills out a suit. The list goes on and on. But we know there are plenty of agents who are a part of the MIB, so it only makes sense to see who else is out there on the field. It shouldn't get caught up trying to recapture the magic chemistry between Jones and Smith; it should be its own thing, fresh, new, and exciting. It should invigorate the series, not just continue it, and I think that's within the realm of possibility. I'd like to see Bryan Singer and Bryan Fuller take a crack at it, myself.
