Picture it. A fantasy prequel following seven brothers who are continuously trying to kill each other in creative, comedic ways so one of them can finally become the king. It's dark. It's a stretch. It could be one of the best pictures of the year. The brothers, as ghouls giving hilarious commentary to the narrative of Stardust, are just one of the many highlights in a film filled with wondrous characters and magic. If any fantasy film had spin-off options, it's most certainly Stardust. And if you don't like the idea of the brothers, you can always go for the flouncy, cross-dressing Robert De Niro lightning pirate, who probably wouldn't believe that his acting career has come to a point where that part of a sentence is actually a valid reference.
