One of the best disaster movies ever created, Twister showed us the terrifying side of Mother Nature at her best. This movie actually inspired my own sister to become a meteorologist and many others like her to go out and chase down tornadoes in an attempt to better predict them. Though there were some fatal tragedies along the line, our heroes came out on top in the end, having successfully launched their machine into the tornado to get scientific readings from inside the funnel to help forecasts everywhere keep their viewers prepared. The Prequel: Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt were married, right? I want to see their marriage from start to finish. Also, I have a strange obsession with seeing how machines are made. Dorothy is not a foreign concept to meteorologists, but she is to audiences. How did the crew think up the design? We know how they thought up a better way to launch the components, but how did they create the component in the first place? I want to know how Dusty helps in the process! And, I want to see the initial feud that pinned the Hunt/Paxton team against Cary Elwis. Were they friends? Colleagues? Graduates from the same program? So many plots that can stem from the idea of the life that occurred before Twister.
