10 Movies That Have Shunned Comic-Con 2015

7. Transformers

The next Transformers movie doesn't have a release date, but the decision by Paramount to put together a writer's room led by Akiva Goldsman (and featuring The Walking Dead's Robert Kirkman among others) means they could have brought an update to Comic-Con. Rumour has it that the studio is plotting everything from a prequel set on Cybertron to an animated spinoff and, obviously, a Michael Bay helmed Transformers 5. Had Paramount devoted a portion of a Hall H panel to this franchise, they could have unveiled a whole slate of Transformers movies - there's at least ten in the works - or at least some concept art. Maybe it's just too soon, but as Age of Extinction was 2014's highest grossing movie, the demand for this series from fans and moviegoers is clearly still there. For that reason, it's hard to figure out why Paramount would forgo bringing something, anything, to the event.
