Ah, the movie that flopped twice...

Before the Morbius was released to cinemas, it had already received a bad reception due to the casting of Jared Leto as the title character. The original release of the film took a $163 million worldwide box office, including just $74 million domestically. That may sound like a big number, but for Sony, it was considered a financial bomb.

In the first post-credits scene, we see Michael Keaton return as the Vulture, as he has been transported into this universe; no doubt from the magic used in Spider-Man: No Way Home. A news report says Keaton's character will soon be released from jail, as he hasn't done any crimes in this reality.

The second post-credits scene finds Morbius and the Vulture (somehow back in his full supervillain suit) meet, with Adrian Toomes claiming he thinks the Wall-crawler has something to do with Toomes' sudden appearance in that universe. From there, Vulture suggests that himself, Morbius and some others should team up "to do some good".

However, since the movie's release and re-release, Sony currently hasn't made any plans for a Morbius sequel.
