10 Movies That Would Make Great Animated TV Shows

With news that James Cameron€™s self-perpetuating cash machine Avatar will be receiving three more sequels, there€™s obviously enough fodder in this franchise for an animated version. Whatever you think of this Dances With Wolves meets Cats spectacle, there€™s no doubt that Cameron has created a huge universe that deserves to have its rich veins mined for blue ore. There are hundreds of different stories you could tell, from the daily trials of the Na€™vi in each of their different tribes to tales about early researchers first touching down on Pandora to explore its wildlife. Personally, I would go with the latter, focusing on Dr. Grace Augustine from the film setting up the original Avatar Programme along with her crack team of scientists. Their adventures centre on helping their Na€™vi friends, exploring Pandora and keeping the villain, probably some kind of military general, from wiping the Na€™vi off the face of the planet. Ok, it€™s pretty similar to the plot of the movie, but it€™s a formula that would work really well animated.
