There are two versions of Clash of the Titans, but for argument's sake we'll go for the less stupid version for this entry. You get a whole lot of villainous gods for your buck in 1981's Clash of the Titans, which sees a group of deities on finely despicable form, punishing one of their own as some kind of sport disguised as a 'test'. And it really doesn't depend whose side you're on, because these gods are straight-up mean, getting revenge and counter-revenge upon one another as they use human- and monster-kind as their pawns in a huge game of deadly chess. Our hero, Perseus (Harry Hamlin), is annoyingly forced to go up against a set of ancient Greek monsters (note: the Kraken is released), all because dad Zeus (Laurence Olivier) aggravated the goddess Thetis (Maggie Smith) by turning her son into some utterly charmless goat-beast thing. Why did he do this? Because Thetis allowed her son to hunt and kill Zeus' winged horses almost to extinction. When will these guys learn?
