10 Movies You Should Refuse To Watch On Moral Grounds

Films against humanity.

By Sam Hill /

Believe it or not, but there some movies that no person should ever see. It would be easy to cite the most famous "morally corrupt" motion pictures as ill-fitted for public viewing, of course: classically vile films such as Birth of a Nation and Triumph of the Will are both detestable in their own ways, but these artefacts offer up a sense of cinematic history in amongst all that is morally bankrupt. After all, Birth of a Nation might be blatantly racist, but it was the first full-length motion picture and thus played a huge part in the development of the medium; on that basis, it still makes for necessary viewing for any cinephiles out there. Triumph of the Will, on the other hand, is ghastly Nazi propaganda, but it is also an important social document, whilst many of its camera techniques are still considered pioneering today. What follows here, however, are 10 movies that - for their own unique reasons - should be avoided at all costs. Be it due to racism, animal cruelty, sex crimes or just plain ol' depravity, there is absolutely no reason why anybody should ever feel the need to sit down to any of these motion pictures. Some of the entries here might even surprise you...
