Severance is a 2006 slasher film co-written by Dr. Who and Torchwood writer, James Moran and stars some Brit favourites including Danny Dyer, Tim McInnerny and Andy Nyman. The film sees 7 employees of a multi-national weapons manufacturing company going into the deep, dark woods of Hungary on a team building exercise. What they don't know, is that there's a group of bloodthirsty maniacs lurking out in the woods. The film doles out horror and comedy in equal measure, and does a pretty good job of both. While there is some satirising of horror cliches, the laughs don't do much to diminish what is genuinely a gruesome, frightening film. Some of the deaths are pretty horrific and even seasoned horror fans will appreciate that this is an exhilarating addition to the horror genre in its own right.
