10. Best Ensemble

To start with an obvious one, then, why doesn't the Oscars featured an award for "Best Ensemble?" It's often the case that a movie will be packed to the brim with a bunch of awesome performances, and yet no actor is noticeably more awesome than any other: in fact, it's the interplay and chemistry between the actors and their performances that enhances the movie to high places. That's ensemble! And it needs to be recognised. Take a movie like The Grand Budapest Hotel. Here's a picture made up entirely of awesome little performances that amount to a magnificent whole when you throw them all together in that kaleidoscope of brilliance most folk refer to as "A Wes Anderson Film." The movie is, essentially, an "ensemble piece," and a Oscar presented to all the cast members who came together and contributed great performances to ensure it as a group tour-de-force deserves to be noticed. You know, in the same way that movies like Ocean's Eleven, or American Hustle, or Inglourious Basterds deserved to Oscar glory for their ensemble achievements - make it happen!
