For someone who love The Muppets, there was no greater happiness than seeing what Jason Segal, who obviously love the original source material, did with The Muppets. Through various sources, Segal has always flirted with singing and songs. If any human person can portray the innocence and unconditional joy that is only comparable to Muppets it would be the ultimate man-child (this is a compliment) that Jason Segal represents. Look at the opening number of the film. Jason Segal brings his natural warmth and charisma to the role which is essentially him. His admiration for the televisions series is shown through the enthusiasm and charm of the film, lifting The Muppets from just being a Hollywood rehash of a known property for the sake of money.
