I've read countless arguments about Affleck possibly helping Snyder direct the film, "He'll give him directorial 'pointers'" some say. Listen, that's a fantasy, and is nowhere near the truth. Sure, there are definite possibilities that a collaborative director, like Snyder, would listen to his actors (if they are asked); but he's not going to be led by them. If that was the case; Affleck would have been offered the directors seat on the film, not a starring role as Batman. Affleck's (solid) ability as a director will only add a better perspective in anticipating what Snyder is trying to do; once Snyder starts directing his principles during the films shoot. There's is a lot of speculation regarding Affleck gaining this role as a "Do this, and we'll let you do that" sort of scenario, which is probably a half truth. He has some latitude with others from the studio to give oversight on the script, whether or not he'll be credited as a Story Editor, or a Writer has yet to be substantially stated. The fact still remains that Snyder is a heavily capable director that undoubtedly has a specific vision for his next film, and knows how to deliver a new vision of these extremely beloved characters for a modern audience. He will still break all kind of rules as he goes along, but those will still be amazing to watch, especially in terms of what he has in store for Batman.
