Why You Have To Try It: Everyone vehemently despises The Twilight Saga, despite many having not watched it all the way through.
Spoiler: the first one isn't that bad. The rest are.There's actually some logic in doing what on the face of it would be a painful ten hours. If you're going to watch the whole saga through, you might as well save yourself long bouts of depression by getting it over and done with.
As well as being a love story that according to the internet pretty much everything is better than, Twilight tells the age old battle between vampires and werewolves, something that we've all mulled about at some time or another. OK, so it's not greatly realised - the action fluctuates from poorly animated to being an extravagant dream - but there is some value to the series.
By the final parts, Twilight is self aware enough to know it's silly. One scene in Breaking Dawn Part 2 has Jacob strip down to show off his wolf powers, which had cynics in the audience laughing, not realising that was exactly what the film wanted.
