10 Perfect Casting Choices to Support Ben Affleck's Batman

6. Aaron Paul - Jason Todd/ Red Hood

The once Batman sidekick, turned villain then anti-hero is a complex and thrilling character. Originally very unpopular among fans - so much so they voted for DC to kill him off when given the chance - Jason Todd returned years later after a dip in Ra€™s al Ghul Lazarus Pit, and took up the villainous Red Hood persona. If there is any actor who can bring the tragic story of Jason Todd to the big screen, it€™s Aaron Paul €“ mainly because he€™s done it all before in Breaking Bad. Jesse Pinkman was a brilliantly done character, and shares a lot of similarities with Jason Todd; they€™re both angry and reckless, unable to shake the pain of being betrayed by a friend and mentor (though Jason Todd is not as justified in his feelings as Jesse was). Putting aside how awesome it would be if Bryan Cranston€™s Gordon shared a scene with Aaron Paul€™s Jason Todd, he is the perfect choice to play the angry, confused and vengeful ex-partner to Batman. Aaron Paul is a hot property right now, with fans of his waiting eagerly (and most likely impatiently) to see him make a successful transition from television to film, and it would be wise for DC to snap him up before Disney snatches him for their Marvel or Star Wars franchises.
