10 Potentially Awesome Movies Released in July 2015
A whole month of cinematic awesomeness awaits.
We're half way through 2015 and it's been a predictably up and down year when it comes to movies. Blockbusters such as Avengers: Age Of Ultron and Furious 7 delivered more of the same, pleasing the multiplex crowds even if they hardly offered anything new, while Mad Max: Fury Road came almost out of nowhere and showed us just how exceptional action movies can be. Looking ahead to the summer heat of July and the blockbuster season continues to promise a mixed bag, with both Terminator Genisys and Minions continuing franchises which to many feel somewhat pointless (and the reviews certainly bear this assessment out). But there are other releases on the horizon which could make up for these disappointments, drawn from both mainstream Hollywood and the fringes of independent cinema. The latest MCU release is coming our way, while another instalment in a long-running blockbuster franchise could well continue the run of hits for Tom Cruise. Given the rather erratic and haphazard nature of movie releases around the world, with great titles launching in various territories at different times, the following list is drawn from those movies set for a theatrical release in the US. With this in mind, here are ten potentially awesome movies heading to cinemas this July.
