10 Predictions For What The DCEU Will Look Like 10 Years From Now

10. A Completely New Continuity

The Flash's long overdue solo outing is rumoured to be titled Flashpoint, and if it's anything like the comic book the film is reportedly named after, we can expect time-travel and a completely different continuity by the time all is said and done.

There have been rumblings for a while that the Scarlet Speedster will be responsible for reshaping the DC Extended Universe, and it could explain the absence of Henry Cavill's Superman and Ben Affleck's Batman (who is being replaced by Robert Pattinson in a new trilogy of movies). So, while this shared world is being rebooted sooner than expected, the aftermath will likely still be felt ten years from now.

We're bound to see some familiar faces in the DCEU even in 2030, but the world around them will have changed every bit as much as it has now compared to when Zack Snyder was still in charge. That's exciting, and a little bit scary, but arguably necessary at this point.

Continuity is already muddled, so Flashpoint can lay the groundwork and set the stage for a new DCEU which will have surely expanded massively in a decade's time.
