Horror fans had been clamouring for a team up between the two long-running franchise darlings for years, and the question of who would win in a fight was subject to almost as much furious debate as the Batman V Superman pairing. They needn't have made a full-length film, since audiences were only there for one thing: the climax, when they would find out which of the two horror icons prevailed over the other. And it was a total cop out. Superficially it looked like Jason had won, having hacked Freddy to bits.
