10 Radical Ideas To Save The Fantastic Four Franchise

7. Deadpool II: Dead Pooler

Fox have themselves a bona fide Marvel hit on their hands with the R-rated Deadpool. More than that, the Merc with a Mouth is irreverent, ultraviolent, sly and out of its freakin€™ mind: it€™s cool in ways that even the better X-Men movies aren€™t. If you can think of a better way to give a broken franchise sudden credibility again than by matching them up with Ryan Reynolds€™ Merc With A Mouth, then I€™d love to hear about it. The fit is weird, but kind of perfect: the Fantastic Four have a reputation for po-faced heroics that could be a perfect deadpan foil for Deadpool€™s more ridiculous vaudevillian tendencies. It€™d be like placing Hillary Clinton on a Presidential ticket with Tracy Morgan. Plus, let€™s face it: the Fantastic Four are weird. A human rubber band, a walking wall, a kid who immolates himself and his sister, who says she€™s invisible (but who may just be somewhere else, doing something else). There€™s a lot of comedy mileage there for our Wade to run.
