10 Reasons DCEU Movies Will Never Catch Up To The MCU

2. Marvel Studios Just Gained A Major Advantage

Up until a few years ago, Spider-Man was off limits to Marvel Studios. Characters like Blade, Daredevil, and Ghost Rider were also out of their reach, while Fox continued producing films featuring the X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Deadpool. That left Marvel Studios with only heroes and villains from the world of The Avengers, most of whom were always considered B-List at best.

Warner Bros., on the other hands, holds the rights to every DC character ever. With Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, the Flash, and Green Lantern at their disposal, the studio should have crushed the MCU at every turn, but Marvel Studios turned those B-Listers into A-Listers, making these DC superheroes look no better than D-Listers in the process.

Now, though, Marvel Studios has regained the rights to all the heroes (aside from Spidey) listed above, and the anticipation for new takes on heroes such as Wolverine and The Thing is through the roof. Everyone in the DCEU feels like just another comic book character given the way they've been handled in recent years, so there's no way Warner Bros. can compete with the hype now surrounding the MCU.
